Welcome to 2009 LASG summer symposium!

LASG is going to hold a summer symposium in Yinchuan, Ningxia province of China from 19 to 21 August, 2009.

The theme of the symposium is Climate and Its Changes: Observation, Modeling and Dynamics. The symposium will focus on the recent research results and discoveries in the following fields:

Observed climate variability and related analysis techniques
Development, evaluation and application of climate system model 
Climate dynamics and process study 
Multi-sphere interaction and climate feedback processes in Earth climate system
Climate projection and predictability

Abstract Submission

Please submit one-page abstract before 15 June 2009 to the Secretariat (lasg@lasg.iap.ac.cn) and indicate your presentation mode (oral or poster). To guarantee the time for the invited talks and discussion, we encourage more poster presentations. Please note that the organizing committee might see fit to change some oral presentations into posters and we thank you in advance for your understanding.

The Secretariat will issue the second circular by the end of June with the abstract acceptance notice.

Registration Fee

The registration fee is $80, including the proceedings, meals, and social activities.
The accommodation and travel expenses should be borne by the participants.
